Public Fish & Oyster
While on an impromptu road trip, we stopped in Charlottesville, VA and stayed at the new Draftsman Hotel...a boutique hotel located in the heart of downtown. We explored the town including the pedestrian mall. Charlottesville is home to a vibrant collection of more than 120 shops and 30 restaurants in the historic buildings on and around Old Main Street. The hotel recommended the Public Fish and Oyster Restaurant and it did not disappointed. We chose the Moules Frites: PEI Mussels in a classic mariniere with Belgian fries and aioli. We also enjoyed a bowl of clam chowder made with bacon, chowder potatoes and chervil. The bartender selected two raw oysters for me and they were delicious with Muscadet wine. Great friendly atmospher
