Carlucci's Restaurant, Chicago
Carlucci's certainly lives up to its website's description: Fresh from Italy´s rolling countryside, the flavors are as rich as the land itself. Handmade pasta, simmered sauces, and robust wines from the world´s finest vineyards embody the essence of Old World tradition. Set in a sophisticated rustic ambiance, with white linen tablecloths, terra cotta floors, and painted murals reminiscent of Italy´s romantic vistas. I chose the eggplant parmesan appetizer as my entree along with a mixed green salad. My colleague ordered the Linguine con Prosciutto di Parma e Basilico which was Linguini with Fresh Basil and“Prosciutto di Parma” and Peas Tossed Tableside Inside a Fresh Parmesan Cheese Wheel. Fortunately, she shared this wonderful creation with the rest of our table.....deliciouso!
