The Black Eyed Susan, Williamsport, MD
After a business meeting, I asked the folks at the local library for a suggestion for a nice place for lunch that was not a chain restaurant. I was extremely pleased with the recomendation. A painting of a black eyed susan hung adjacent to our table and it reminded me of the Preakness and the fact that it's the state flower of Maryland. I chose the goat cheese fritters served with a roasted red pepper sauce and crostini accompanied by a cup of their featured soup...the sweet corn and crab bisque. It's always worth asking the locals for the best place to dine. This was a great find!
