Ligonier Tavern, Ligonier, PA

Michael & I went to the Country Market in Ligonier this morning and purchased some beautiful red and yellow tomatoes and peaches. We walked around town as a wedding was taking place at the gazebo, stopped at the library and then for lunch at the Tavern. I chose the mini crabcake appetizer and was extremely disappointed. The crabcakes were served on way too much old lettuce and were to be served with remoulade sauce but arrived with tartar sauce. The crabcake contained bits of cartilage and I asked my server to bring me a cup of soup instead. The soup was cheese crab...just OK. I think I'll stick to cocktails at the Tavern! I recommend the crabcakes at 7 springs...much better!
