Farmicia, Philadelphia
In Philly on business, I headed to Farmicia Restaurant. The website describes it perfectly...it captures the pleasures of simply crafted food and excellent beverages served in a relaxed yet lively environment. The emphasis is on great tasting food and beverages crafted from local, organic, and artisanal producers.
I chose the Pan Roasted Lamb Tenderloins roasted cauliflower, spinach saute, golden raisin-caper sauce. The raisin-caper sauce was fantastic! A glass of Pinot Noir was the perfect accompaniment. Breads from the Metropolitan Bakery were served with the meal.
Across the street, fire breathing entertainers were filming for their website...made for fun chatting with others in the restaurant. I met a lovely couple who own the gallery across the street. I plan to visit it someday.
