Quartino Restaurante & Wine Bar, Chicago, IL

My co-workers and I took the recommendation of one of the locals attending our conference and headed downtown to Quartino's.
The chef/partner is John Coletta and his menu represents the best of Italy's culinary regions. The menu offers items served in reasonable portions...just perfect for us to share and experience a variety of selections. We started with an Antipasti of Prosciutto,Salamette, Parmigiano Reggiano, Fontina, Olives, and Roasted Red Peppers with Crusty Baguette. Our entrees included Lasagna, Chestnut Risotto, Beef Short Ribs, Cavatelli, and Gnocchi. The gnocchi was combined with green beans and arugula pesto. I especially enjoyed the Risotto. Quartino also offers over 30 wines from all regions of Italy, served by the carafe. The staff was very knowledgeable and created a wonderful evening for us.
